Reigns vs. Rhodes at WrestleMania 40
Dave Meltzer reported Observer Wrestling Radio (h/t Randall Ortman from Cageside seats) that WWE’s plan still calls for Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, which will take place on April 6-7, 2024 from Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial District.
It would be a rematch of their main event at WrestleMania 39, where Reigns retained the WWE Undisputed World Championship after Solo hit Sikoa Rhodes with a Samoan Spike while Paul Heyman distracted the referee. Reigns then speared Rhodes for the win.
Currently, Rhodes is starting a program with Brock Lesnar, while Reigns has just been pinned for the first time since December 2019 after he and Sikoa lost Civil War at Bloodline to Jimmy and Jey Uso at Money in the Bank.
However, it looks like Rhodes and Reigns will find their way back into another feud on the road in time for WrestleMania.
Logan Paul vs. Ricochet
WWE reportedly quickly changed course during Money in the Bank to create a better and smoother premise for the rivalry between Logan Paul and Ricochet.
To set the scene, Ricochet hit Logan Paul with a Spanish Flyer from the top ropes during the Money in the Bank ladder match. However, the complicated and risky move ended with both wrestlers taking hard falls outside the ring, as the maneuver did not seem to be going as planned.
according to Meltzer (h/t Ringside News’ Subojit Mukherjee) WWE wanted to use the Spanish Fly spot as a launching pad for a feud between Paul and Ricochet. Instead, they had the two go at it in a backstage brawl after the match, with Ricochet later calling out Paul as well.

Meltzer provided more information.
“The idea was that the place we were talking about (the Spanish flying across the tables) was supposed to be such a viral thing and it would go crazy and that would lead to the match.
And people watched it, but it wasn’t easy to lead into the match, so they did that angle (backstage brawl) instead. They’re going to corner the next Monday on Raw to lead the match.
“Instead of doing a ‘marquee’ match for Logan Paul, I think they want to get him to do a great sports match, and Ricochet is your guy if you want to do that.”
The two VIPs could put on a great show if given the chance. They are capable of creating great spots, like Royal Rumble crashes from the top ropes. But the feud could go deeper than that and showcase the couple’s amazing athletic talents on a big podium.
Rousey states that WWE cut the time for the tag team title match
Ronda Rousey said in it Last post on Instagram WWE has timed the Women’s Tag Team Championship match on three occasions beforehand.
The highlight of the match was accompanied by the following comment: “When your time is out three times but you’re still wearing a power patch #chicken salad 🍗🥗 #TagTeamChampionships. “
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez ended up defeating Rousey and Chyna Baszler in exactly nine minutes to claim the championship belts. During the match, Baszler turned on Rossi and hit her with the handle of Kirifuda and eventually led to the victory of the competitors.
All eyes are now on a potentially dynamite dispute between Rossi and Baszler. Decorated MMAs (and best friends in real life) can easily create one of the most important events and feuds of the year with this opportunity.
Baszler has been in Rousey’s corner for nearly a year on WWE TV, but her latest face changes that. We’ll see where it goes soon.
