The N64 library for Switch Online didn’t get off to the best start, with select games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time being plagued by a host of emulation issues. Nintendo rolled out updates to the app in response and since then the situation has slowly been improving.

Unfortunately, it appears that one of the most recent versions of the service was in rough shape at launch. Based on Nintendo’s history with its NSO service, they usually follow up on popular releases like this with an app update to sort out any bugs or glitches. Perfect Dark’s release on Switch Online also marks the release of the “mature” version of the N64 app, which you can download now on the Switch eShop.
