Sukhoi-30 and Mirage 2000 of Indian Air Force crashes in Madhya Pradesh | India News

New Delhi: Two fighter jets of the Indian Air Force – Sukhoi 30 The Mirage 2000 – crashed near Morena district in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning.
“The aircraft was on a routine flight training mission. One of the three pilots was fatally injured. An investigation has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident,” the Indian Air Force said.
The two planes had taken off from the Gwalior Air Base where training exercises were going on. The Su-30 had 2 pilots while the Mirage 2000 had 2 pilots at the time of the crash.

An Israeli Air Force court of inquiry will determine whether the accident was a mid-air collision.
According to Ministry of Defense sources, “Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was briefed on the incident by the Chief of Air Staff. He has inquired about the safety of Air Force pilots and is keeping a close eye on developments.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said in a tweet, “The news of Air Force Sukhoi 30 and Mirage 2000 crashes near Kolras in Morena is very sad. I have instructed the local administration to co-operate with Air Force in quick rescue and relief operations.. I pray May God keep the pilots safe.
