The attack took place on July 13 at the Playa de Palma resort. An 18-year-old German woman said she had arranged to go to Palma Beach with a 20-year-old man she had previously met.

After drinking, the couple went to the man’s hotel. When they reached his room, they found five more people inside. They are all from Germany.
The victim tried to escape but the men prevented her from doing so. An 18-year-old girl says she was repeatedly raped. He also said that not everyone participated in it. Only a few saw it.

The woman reported the incident to the hotel receptionist, who alerted the authorities. The 18-year-old was taken to Son Llàtzer Hospital. The police started an investigation. According to Ultima Hora, the five accused were arrested hours after the incident. A sixth tried to escape, but he too was stopped.
The accused are between 21 and 23 years of age. According to local newspapers, they are of German origin. They are expected to release their report on July 15.
In Spain gang rape is considered an aggravating factor. It carries a higher penalty than a case of rape of an individual. German tourists could be jailed for up to 15 years.
On July 10, a similar incident took place at the same place. A British man has been arrested for raping his girlfriend in a hotel room.
Civil Guard officers detained the man at the airport. He tried to run away from there. He is also being investigated.
