Rashi Rice is apologizing for her “part” in the incident while the injured couple is said to be defending them

There's a lot to be resolved in the accident allegedly caused by Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashie Rice's car, and it looks like at least two people don't want to get off lightly.

A Dallas couple injured in a head-on collision on Saturday has allegedly hired a lawyer and is considering their legal options, according to the Daily Mail. Dallas Morning News. The couple were reportedly traveling to a friend's 50th birthday party when two cars, one of which allegedly contained Rice, collided with their white Lexus SUV.

The couple's car reportedly spun across the highway until it crashed into a wall (You can see the incident on video here). They were reportedly taken to hospital and are now recovering at home. The woman reportedly suffered a “large laceration” above her left eye that required multiple stitches to her eyelid, as well as swelling and bruising to her right leg, while both suffered from post-concussion symptoms.

“They are angry about the situation,” Walker said in an interview. “From our perspective and their perspective, it doesn't really matter who the people are, it's just the human decency element of it that matters — and the decent thing to do is to make sure no one gets hurt and to comply with your legal obligations.”

Other victims in the crash reportedly included a 27-year-old girl and her 4-year-old son, whose Hyundai Accent was left “undriveable” and a separate victim in an Uber car that was hit with T-bones.

Rice issued a statement on Monday confirming his involvement in the incident, that he is cooperating with authorities, and “will take all necessary steps to address this situation in a responsible manner.”

He issued an additional statement on Wednesday apologizing for his role in the incident without actually describing his “role.”

“I met with Dallas police investigators today regarding Saturday’s incident.” Rice said on Instagram. He added: “I take full responsibility for my role in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone affected by Saturday's accident.”

The big question about the accident is whether or not Rice was driving the black Lamborghini involved. for every TMZHe also owns the black Corvette from the accident, but rented a Lamborghini from a company called Classic Lifestyle for $1,749 per day.

Kyle Coker, the attorney representing Classic Lifestyle, reportedly told TMZ that Rice was the only person allowed to drive the Lamborghini and that the recipient sent a text message promising to pay for the totaled car after the wreck.

The people in both cars who caused the accident were allegedly videotaped fleeing on foot. Both the Chiefs and the NFL have confirmed they are aware of the situation, while police are still investigating and have not officially identified any suspects.
