A new idea from the Kremlin. Marriage after death

The whole world could see that the “second army of the world” was not coping in Ukraine as its commanders had predicted. Putin ignored Ukrainians' sense of struggle. According to the General Staff of Ukraine (as of February 6, 2024), Russian casualties were 390,580 Russian soldiers. But death and pre-tribulation are the same.

Inside the country, the regime in Moscow had to deal with uncomfortable questions from the wives of soldiers sent to the front. Wives and widows of Russian soldiers are not afraid of their men, but of themselves. And your destiny.

So someone in the Kremlin came up with the idea of giving women a minimum wage and paying the fallen. A decree allowing marriages where one of the spouses is dead is expected to come into play.

Marriage where one party is dead is not a new idea. In France, such a law was created in 1803 – as in Russia, it concerns the widows of war veterans.

Similar practices were implemented in Nazi Germany. Pregnant women can marry their fallen husbands. The idea is to provide surnames and benefits to single mothers.

The most famous example of this law is Franz Kutscher's Norwegian wife. The Nazi convict died on February 1, 1944 in Warsaw. His marriage took place during the funeral on 4th February.

Now in Russia the idea of marriage after death appeared. However, the details of benefits for Russian women whose partners have died in Ukraine are unknown. Aware of Russian 'generosity', the Kremlin's aim is purely propaganda – to show that Moscow cares and cares about its widowed citizens.
