WWE Raw results 28/8 – A fight that goes anywhere, Ludwig Kaiser takes on Chad Gable

Riddle and McIntyre sit at the announcing desk while Eric Woods starts the action in the ring. The bell rings and the two lock up. Woods lands a powerful punch and then follows it up with a slam on the shoulder. Erik counters with his forearm and hits a Sidewalk Slam before Ivar tags and lands several right hands. Eric runs back inside and Ivar lands a knee on Woods’ midsection. Eric then pins Woods, but Woods gets out.

Ivar tags and delivers a right hand, but Woods shoots several from his right hand. Ivar counters with another knee on Woods’ midsection, but Woods manages to put the tag on Kingston. Kingston delivers a crushing kick to Ivar’s jaw, then climbs up and delivers a crossbody. He follows it up with a kick to the chest and The Boom Drop, then gets the crowd (and Riddle) excited before taking a break to dance on top of the advertising desk with Woods.

Coming back from the break, Ivar sent a quickie to Kingston and followed it up with several elbows into the corner. Kingston countered with a kick off the ropes before Eric got back up and The Raiders leveled Kingston. Ivar returns inside and hands a double-axe handle, then returns to Erik. Eric does the same and tags Ivar again. Kingston takes advantage of the Raiders staring next to Riddle and McIntyre, but Ivar catches him with a big boot and reaches out with his right hand to Kingston’s spine. Kingston lands a jaw crusher, then tags in Woods.

Woods delivers a side pass on the Russian leg to Erik, then leveling Ivar. Eric tags himself in and delivers his knee to the back of Woods’ neck. Kingston makes the blind mark and places his knee on Ivar’s face. Woods lands him face first, and Kingston flies off the middle rope. He goes to get a pin, but Eric breaks the fall. Woods flattens Eric and sends him outside. Kingston does the same to Ivar, then looks to fly off the arena steps to level him. Ivar grabbed him and sent him down the ring steps, slashing him first, then sending him crashing onto Riddle and McIntyre. McIntyre looks forward to throwing his chair at Eric, but accidentally hits Woods. Ivar then leveled him with a cannonball off the apron and sent Kingston back into the ring. Eric runs back in and Ivar hits a backheel kick. The Invaders then deliver Ragnarok for the win.

Winners: Viking Raiders

After the match, McIntyre looks to attack The Raiders, but they storm out of the ring before he can. McIntyre then checks in on Woods and apologizes to him.

Then we head backstage to Judgment Day. Finn Balor tells Damien Priest that they need to get things together, and Priest says they need to focus on themselves rather than on people like JD McDonagh. Bálor says McDonagh is the only reason Brest won his match tonight, and the pair begin to argue. Rhea Ripley steps in and says that Doomsday is falling apart because they keep arguing. She says that only herself and Dominique are dealing with the doomsday business, then puts them both on the same page before redemption. She says if they don’t win gold, there will be some changes.

Back from the break, we head to a video honoring Bray Wyatt and his legacy in WWE. In the ringside area, fans chant “Thank you, Bray” as fireflies line the stands and an empty rocking chair sits at the top of the ramp.

After returning from break, we see Kofi Kingston coming out of the medical office. Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre approach him and ask him how Xavier Woods is. Kingston says Woods isn’t in great shape, but he’ll be fine. McIntyre then apologizes, and Kingston says there are no negative feelings. McIntyre and Riddle will face The Viking Raiders next week, adding that he will be speaking with Adam Pearce to make sure he doesn’t have to sign up.
