Putin said Berlin’s new position on the use of German weapons would “mean direct involvement in the war against the Russian Federation”.
The use of Western weapons in attacks on Russian territories requires the participation of military personnel of individual countries in the operation of the equipment, its control and designation of targets, so Russia can take retaliatory measures, such as supplying other parties with similar weapons. Hitting selected countries, the dictator added: “We will think about it,” the Associated Press reported.
US gives green flag to Ukraine
Earlier on Wednesday, a US senator and a Western official were quoted as saying that Ukraine had already used US weapons to strike Russian territory in recent days because the US had approved it.
The weapons were used in accordance with President Joe Biden’s recently approved guidelines authorizing the use of US weapons to launch strikes inside Russia for the limited purpose of defending Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv.
