We deeply regret the death of these five people,” Aguascalientes Governor Teresa Jimenez said at a press conference on Thursday.
A local politician confirmed all media reports about the disaster and offered his condolences to the families of the victims. In addition to Aguascalientes’ chief of security, the helicopter was carrying two professional pilots and two officers.
Jimenez added that an investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash, although “everything points to it being an unfortunate accident.” Further details will be provided once the investigation is complete.
