Karl Joseph had his coaching staff contract expired earlier in the season. He became a free agent on the street at that time. His deal with the Steelers likely was a vet benefits contract with no signing bonus. # bubbles

Joseph signed with the Steelers coaching staff at the start of the regular season and spent most of the year there. He appeared in two games, scoring 17 defensive shots and another 14 in special teams. He finished the year with two sets of interventions.
His signature will provide the Steelers with a little depth of security. Safety is the weakest position on the list right now. All-Pro Minkah Fitzpatrick is the safety team that starts free but there is no strong safety on the list currently.
