‘Spider-Man’ stars recreate that Meme to announce digital and Blu-Ray release of ‘No Way Home’

Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland recreated the Spider-Man meme everyone was hoping to do in No Way Home — and Sony kept it at the right moment. On Wednesday, the studio used it to announce digital movie release dates and Blu-ray release dates.

“Of course, we got the meme,” Sony wrote in a tweet alongside the photo. You can check it out below.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” will be available digitally late next month, on March 22nd. Those looking to get a physical copy will have to wait a bit longer, as the Blu-ray releases on April 12th.

For those unfamiliar with their memes, this Spidey comes from an image from the 1960s Spider-Man animated episode “Double Identity,” where two Spider-Men refer to each other. Of course, the villain impersonating the hero.

Over the years, fans have edited it to add more Spider-Men, largely hoping to recreate the moment in “No Way Home.” And in fairness, it was, in a sense, in the lab where the three Peter Parkers tried to find cures for their bad guys. It was just hidden.
