Well, Sonic Frontiers players will be able to download some free DLC later today. Sonic’s Birthday Bash introduces some new costumes, a new collectible Koco, and a New Game+ mode. The DLC release was announced during the day Stream Sonic Central.

This free content update includes:

  • birthday celebration – Starfall Islands are decorated to celebrate Sonic’s birthday! Check out the decorations and celebrate with a new outfit for Sonic’s big day!
  • Action Series Challenge – New challenges have been added to open areas. Aim for a high score!
  • New skill: Spin Dash – Sonic’s legendary move is back! Unlock the Spin Dash and discover new ways to traverse the Starfall Islands.
  • New Coco – There are new types of Koco waiting to be found on the Starfall Islands. Stay tuned for their fun outfits!
  • New game + – Relive the Sonic Frontiers story with all your stats and skills carried over from your previous game.

This update also includes additional changes to improve your experience while exploring the Starfall Islands.

  • Added functionality to display percentage complete for each island – available on island transition screen, island selection screen, and clear island screen.
  • New outfit “Frontier Elite” has been added.
  • Added the ability to change the cooldown rate when jumping.
  • Added a “New” icon that will display when additional content is newly added.
  • Added the ability to turn on/off the “BGM change” function in cyberspace.
  • The difficulty of the tower on Rhea Island has been reduced in easy mode.
  • When using the following actions to save time in Cyber ​​Space, colored tags will now appear in the results:
    • Homing: white
    • Spin Dash: red
    • Deceleration change when jumping: yellow
    • Strengthening the power of cyberspace: blue
  • Added feature to reset clear time and rank in Arcade mode, Cyber ​​Space, Battle Rush, etc.
  • Added an on/off option to set whether the camera will use stunt angles when using skills.
