Savannah Chrisley says she ‘knew’ Colton Underwood was gay when they first met in 2017

Before he came out in 2021, Savannah Chrisley insisted she “knew” Colton Underwood was gay when they first met in 2017.

The duo laughed about their lack of romantic chemistry when they attended the ACM Awards together while speaking on Savannah’s podcast, Open with Savannah Chrisley.

Underwood, who rose to fame in the Bachelor franchise, will appear in 2021, a year after his split from his Last Pick of the Roses, Casey Randolph.

When we first met, I knew you were gay. Like, I knew it! I confessed.

“It was the ACM Awards, I forget what year, but it was after Luke Kennard and I broke up, and I was like, ‘Okay, get rid of this. “You know how it goes, going through a breakup,” Savannah told Colton, who added that he was also “coming out” of the split at the time.

“There was absolutely no connection,” Savannah said.

‘no! I mean, for obvious reasons, Colton replied. When I say “It’s not you, it’s me,” I really mean it, and I’ve obviously proven it at this point. Yes, it was still a fun weekend! We still have a lot of fun.

Savannah recalled raising her suspicions with her friend Emily, who shut her out.

“I remember looking at Emily, and saying, ‘He’s just like me,'” Savannah recalls. She was like, “No, he’s not Savannah!”

Savannah then admitted to meeting another man later that evening.

Then later that night, I left and went back to my room. And I said, “I’m not really feeling well, I’m going to go back to my room.” And I remembered guys that you went and got up.

Savannah said she went to another hotel to hang out with friends and “another guy.”

“Not offended at all!” Colton said after learning what really happened that evening. I would do the same if I were in your situation.

A reality star football player, Colton first gained real fame as a contestant on The Bachelorette before becoming The Bachelor himself in 2019.

He eventually gave his last paper to Cassie Randolph, but they split in 2020 and things quickly turned around after that with Cassie filing a restraining order against him that she later withdrew from.

Colton came out as gay in 2021 and one year later became engaged to political strategist Jordan C. Brown.

The reality star looked over the moon as he spoke to him us weekly before they share.

“I’m happy, I’m in love and I’m doing well,” he said after introducing Jordan to his family. “Everything as far as it goes has been very smooth.”
