Russian equipment at a nuclear power plant? The occupants have demanded the release of the keys [RELACJA NA ŻYWO]

Ukrainian company Enerhoatom said Wednesday that Russian forces intend to hide weapons and military equipment in engine rooms in power units at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in Enerhodar, southeastern Ukraine. The power plant has been controlled by the Russians since early March.

“The Army of the Russian Federation requests the Ukrainian nuclear power plant management to open their engine rooms in power units 1, 2 and 3 of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant in order to deploy their entire military arsenal there” – reads. Enerhoatom report.

The company insists that in this way the occupying forces want to hide the equipment from the attacks of the armed forces of Ukraine. The Russian military plans to move tanks, trucks and weapons to the engine room.

By deploying the equipment there, the Russians will prevent firefighting equipment from accessing the power units. In the event of a fire, its risk will increase significantly, it will be difficult to extinguish the fire, because special transport routes cannot go there – explains the company.

“In this way, the Russian aggressors violate all terms and conditions related to nuclear and radiation safety of the operation of the nuclear power plant!” – Enerhoatom alarms.
