PlatinumGames hires Nintendo veteran, indicating ‘big change’

PlatinumGames, known for its work on the likes BayonettaAnd the Wonder 101And the astral seriesNintendo’s Takao Yamani has hired veteran Nintendo in a move said to be a “significant change” for the company in the future. Yamani will join PlatinumGames as Vice President and Business Director.

News comes across Famitsu (Thanks, silicone), stressing that more information will be shared in an upcoming interview. Prior to joining PlatinumGames, Takao Yamane had a 27-year career at Nintendo, during which time he held several high-profile positions, including Vice President of Nintendo France and Managing Director of Sales for Nintendo of Europe.

As Famitsu has raised, PlatinumGames hopes that Yaname can help current President Atsushi Inaba and Vice President Hideki Kamiya help the company realize its lofty ambitions.
