lizo She had an emotional birthday after receiving a holiday greeting from one of her icons.
The singer, who is also a classically trained flutist, posted a clip to her Instagram Story on Sunday that shows flutist Sir James Galloway wishing her a happy birthday.
The excerpt showed Galloway in front of a Christmas tree playing holiday music on a flute. He then wishes Lizzo a happy vacation, saying that he is her “number one fan”.
The next clip showed the “Tempo” singer crying while reacting to the post, and there’s no doubt Galloway would send her such a personal message.
She even self-identified as a “band geek” in The Interview with CBS News in 2019, where she described learning to play the flute in the fifth grade and obsessively listening to Galway’s song “The Man with the Golden Flute”.
This September, the Grammy Award-winning musician managed just that Play a priceless American artifact – President James Madison’s 200-year-old crystal flute – as part of the show on the Washington, D.C. leg of her “Private” concert tour.
