Gas pipeline explosion in Russia. A great pillar of fire [WIDEO]

According to Russian media, an explosion occurred in the Yurengoi-Pomari-Ushgorod main export gas pipeline in Chuvashia, near the village of Galinino in the Vurna region (district equivalent – version).

The cause of the fire will be investigated and extinguished. Fire can be seen far away. Three people died and one was wounded in the blast, RIA Novosti reported, citing village head Olga Smirnova.

The infrastructure in Chuvashia is part of the Yurengoi-Pomari-Ushhorod gas pipeline, which brings gas from Russia to Europe.

Chuvashia is a republic of the Russian Federation, located in the European part of the country, in the Moscow time zone. Its northern border is marked by the Volga River. In the west, it is bordered by Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, in the north by the Mari El Republic, in the east by the Republic of Tatarstan, in the south by Ulyanovsk Oblast, and in the southwest by the Republic of Mortva.

The capital – Cheboksary – has a population of about 450 thousand. Residents.
