Former Cowboys Coach Jason Jarrett Finalist for Inaugural Stanford Head Coach: Sources

Jason Jarrett, former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, emerged as a finalist for a championship Stanford multiple sources familiar with the search said the athlete Thursday. Here’s what you need to know:

Garrett went 85-67 in Dallas from 2010-2019, then was named offensive coordinator for the New York Giants in 2020. He was fired 10 games into the 2021 season. He joined NBC Sports this past April.

Shaw, Stanford’s head coach from 2011 to 2022, resigned after the final game of the Cardinals’ 3-9 season. He was the school’s winningest coach at 96-54 but has losing records in three of the last four seasons.
