Drone attack in Russia. It damaged several treatment tanks

According to Russian media, an attempt to shoot down a drone took place 60 km from St. Petersburg at 4:20 p.m.. The S-400 missile system was reportedly used. Airspace at Pulkovo Airport was closed from 03:53 to 05:11.

Russian officials said the drone was shot down in Kolpin, but it flew another 30 kilometers and landed in the supposedly empty tanks of the Nevsky Masut factory. The problem is that none of the drones flew 30 kilometers after being shot down, so this information seems reliable.

The Nevsky Mazut refinery produces bunker fuel, i.e. fuel for ships. And suspension of refinery operation will severely affect the logistics of St. Petersburg ports.

There is great doubt that everything is in order at the plant. An ACA drone damaged several tanks at the Nevsky “Nevsky Mazut” fuel oil refinery on Glukhozierskoye highway in St. Petersburg, Russia. According to Russian media, emergency services worked at the site.

The drone was shot down by the latest S-400 system and did not accomplish its mission. The Nevsky Mazut plant is located near the center of St. Petersburg, about 9 km from the Winter Palace.

This is not the first such case in Russia in recent days. Monday approx. An oil refinery in Yaroslavl was hit at 7 a.m. Moscow time. Russian Air Defense Forces shot down a drone.

The premises belonging to the Slavineft concern were previously attacked by drones. In 2023, damage includes: gas pipeline located in Jarosław.
