iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models suffer from a strange issue caused by it Horizontal lines to flash across their screens. Apple has now confirmed the problem and revealed that it is working on a fix.
In an internal Apple memo he sees Mac rumorswhich I checked, the company admits that customers may “report that when they turn their phones on or unlock them, they briefly see horizontal lines flashing across the screen.”

Crucially, Apple has ruled out a hardware defect that might have triggered the recall, saying in the note that it is “aware of the issue and will update the software soon to resolve the issue.”
When is “soon”? The obvious answer seems to be iOS 16.3, which is currently in beta testing, but that seems unlikely. This major update has just entered its second public beta, and Apple usually releases four to six betas plus a “Release Candidate” before launch. Thus, I don’t expect iOS 16.3 to arrive before late February.
Most likely, it is iOS 16.2.1. While iOS 16.2 has been relatively stable, there are still bugs Turbulent iOS 16 launch, which Apple addresses in a series of “minor points” releases. It’s rare for Apple to publicly beta test minor point updates, so a custom fix can be released as soon as the company is ready.

MacRumors also cites comments from three influential tech YouTubers, whose tweets about iOS 16.2 — the latest iOS 16 release — and iPhone 14 models have been gaining momentum over the past 48 hours. “More and more people keep telling me all the issues with iOS 16.2,” chirp Aaron Zollow from Zollotech. “I hope we get a big bug fix soon. Hearing this more every day.”

(iOS 16.2)” and received thousands upon hundreds of responses confirming his suspicions.
Apple has work to do, and with iOS 16.3 still weeks away from release, I would expect iOS 16.2.1 to be released sooner rather than later.
Update 01/17: I’ve been told by sources that Apple is working on a fix for the horizontal lines bug, which they aim to release in the iOS 16.2.1 update as soon as possible. The company is also looking to address several other issues from iOS 16.2 as a priority, but any delays will push it to iOS 16.3, which is set to launch next month.
iOS 16.3 is a major release, which adds important new functionality. These include incorporation of nearby parking options into Apple Maps, usability improvements for emergency SOS calling, support for third-party security keys instead of two-factor authentication, and new notifications for HomePod Handoffs.
The last of these will likely arrive before Apple’s first new HomePod since 2020, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman open Yesterday, it should “come fairly soon”. Details remain unusually sparse for what appears to be an imminent product, with rumors claiming it will replace the original HomePod, rather than be an update to the newer HomePod Mini, but little else is known.
