The Russians are mounting a major ground offensive in eastern Ukraine. They are storming the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In the last 24 hours, according to Ukrainian military data, more than a hundred Russian ground attacks were repelled. The hottest areas of the front are near Kreminna and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Avtivka, Marzhinka, but above all Pakmut in the Donetsk region. The intensity of the attacks has not abated for several days.
The Russians, Ukrainian military analyst Oleksiy Hetman points out, have mobilized about half a million soldiers to the front lines. As he pointed out, they want to cut the Ukrainian defense line from the direction of Kubianzi in the north to Vuhledar in the south. They are trying to break through Pakmut and surround the Ukrainian troops there. “So far they have not succeeded. The defenders of Bakmut are holding on. The situation there is difficult, but it is under control” – emphasizes the Ukrainian expert.
According to data from Deep State analysts, in recent days the Russians in Pakmut have been able to move up to a kilometer from the south and north.
