Russian astronauts on a spacewalk outside the space station orbiting over Brazil

On November 17, two Russian cosmonauts ventured off the International Space Station (ISS) into a nearly seven-hour spacewalk. The march took place for some instrumentation and electronic connections on the International Space Station.

In the video shared by the space station on Instagram, the astronauts can be seen walking in space. However, it appears to float while the Earth appears in the background.

Sharing the video on the social media platform, they wrote, “Cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petlin were conducting the first Russian spacewalks for maintenance before the end of the year on November 17, 2022, as the station orbited 260 miles off the coast of Brazil. The duo prepared Roskosmos installed a radiator on the Rassvet module for installation in the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module.

according to NASAThis was the third spacewalk of Prokopyev’s career, and the first for Mr. Petlin. This was the station’s tenth spacewalk in 2022 and the 255th spacewalk to assemble, maintain, and upgrade the space station.

The space agency also added that Mr. Prokopyev and Mr. Petelin had completed their main objective, preparing a radiator on the Rassvet module for installation on the Nauka Laboratory multipurpose module.

Since sharing, the post has accumulated over 4.3 views and 96,000 likes. Many users were stunned to see the view from space.
