Gampola police investigating the killing of Thambiligala Sri Bodhirukkharama Viharadhipati Ven. Matara Wimalananda thera and Vasantha Kumara, a UPFA supporter on the day after the Presidential election is looking for another two suspects including a JVP member of the Ganga Ihala Pradeshiya Sabha for questioning in this connection.

The JVP member has fled the area after the crime. The other suspect wanted is an army deserter.

Three suspects arrested in this connection earlier were produced before Gampola Additional District Judge Viraj Bandara Ranatunga and remanded till February 12.

Investigations are continuing directed by Gampola SSP Roshan Gunatilleke.
